This quartet first got together to deliver Singing Valentines to benefit the American Cancer Society in 2000.  They enjoyed the experience so much they decided to stay together and develop a repertoire.  As their name suggests, they enjoy singing in a quartet and work hard to be musical and entertaining.  J4F experienced its second change in personnel two years ago when Lou Engler came on board to sing lead.

Ted Stombaugh, the tenor, has been a barbershopper for 23 years and sang in a quartet called The Four Winds in the 1960’s.  Ted also serves the Chapter as its Service Chairman and produces the show tabloid.  He has two children and seven grandchildren.

Singing lead is Lou Engler who has been singing barbershop for only three years.  Lou also sings in his church choir and various community choirs.  But he especially enjoys singing barbershop in the quartet and chorus.  He has three children.

Dave Healy sings bass for the quartet and also serves the chorus as its performance emcee.  Dave has been singing barbershop for 24 years but this is his first experience in a quartet.  Other singing experience came from his college chorus and church choir.  Three children and three grandchildren complete his family.

Filling the chord at baritone is Maury Carlo.  His 17 years of chorus singing and previous quartet experience with Spectrum have made him an avid barbershopper.  He has three children and four grandchildren.  Maury is the Singing Valentine Chairman.
